Zephrine Droughn-Climber (1868)

Here is the Zephrine Droughn Climber that I planted two years ago and this is the first year that it is large enough to be blooming, it is already 5 foot tall and is supposed to get nearly 25 ft tall when full grown, if trained correctly. This is an antique rose  that is an “own-root” rose as well and the flowers smell like the spring time sweet pea flowers and they are a lovely dark pink. I like this climber as it also has no thorns and I will begin training it along the garden posts as the new shoots start coming out along the canes to see if I can get the full length.
